Hamburg

Café Leonar

The seminar @ Café Leonar is an open plattform for philosophical and artistic research, for curatorial thinking, and collaborative work.

The Taswir Seminar

results in special curriculi of Taswir research, as well as in concrete plans for exhibitions and workshops that are then performed elsewhere.

The seminar @ Café Leonar gives a carte blanche to guests who wish to present new ideas; it connects academic and non-academic, digital and analog platforms, and involves people from the city’s theatres, universities, street projects, living rooms, museums, etc.

The seminar invites students, thinkers, artists, flaneurs, and whoever desires to be part of it, to work on what Aby Warburg called “das Schieben der Gestelle” – the displacement of the placement walls. The seminar engages in free association of objects, things, texts, images, and more, trying to retrieve a method of thinking that is diasporic, “splintered,” ephemeral, and moving.
